Alloway native Scott Levi Jones is playing a homecoming show tomorrow night at the Alloway Township Veterans Association. Scott was writing original songs and playing locally around 2017 when he split town for Nashville. I’m not surprised that he has built his repertoire, gained a following, and is touring with a certain amount of success. His songs tell stories about people and love that are easy to fall into. They have great arrangements and beats that make you bob your head and tap your foot. Add to that his trademark raw honey voice, and rockers like Wrong Guy hit just right. His singles Catfish Queen and Free Bird just feel good to listen to. They are smooth and sweet, with lyrics in the spirit of John Prine. He’s brought his Nashville band The Holy Cow back for this homecoming show, and I am beyond stoked. I had to dig out a couple of pictures from back in the day to share with you. You should get on this bus, because everyone who knows Scott Levi Jones knows this guy is going places.
